Satguru Plast

We’ve been here in Jogeshwari West for a while now, tucked away in the Qureshi Compound. If you know where the Himalaya Hotel is on S.V. Road, we’re just behind that. It’s a busy spot, always noisy with traffic and people moving about. At Satguru Plast, we mostly deal with plastic work, keeping the machines running through the day. Sometimes the heat gets to us, especially in the afternoons, but we keep at it. The shop isn't fancy. There’s dust on the shelves and the floor gets cluttered when a big order comes in. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a small space where we sit down to talk or have some tea. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We know the neighbors and the delivery drivers who come through the narrow lane. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes getting the trucks in and out, but we manage. We aren’t trying to do anything world-changing, just getting the work done and making sure things are right before they leave the door. Life here is pretty predictable, which is fine by us. You might see some of us standing outside by the gate during break time. It’s just how things go here. We focus on the plastic parts and the daily list of things to finish. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be part of this neighborhood.
