Bhavan’s Campus is a pretty big landmark in Andheri West, and we are right in the middle of it at Munshi Nagar. There are lots of trees around here, which makes it feel a bit different from the rest of the busy streets outside. You can hear the birds in the morning before the noise of the traffic takes over. We’ve got these old stone buildings that stay relatively cool even in the summer. People often get confused about which gate to use because the campus is so large. We see students sitting on the steps or walking over to the lake nearby when they have a break. Our office is usually full of files and old registers, and there's always a printer humming in the corner. It’s a very grounded kind of place. We don’t have those shiny corporate lobbies. Instead, you’ll find wooden desks and notice boards that are falling apart at the edges. The canteen is a bit of a walk, but it’s where everyone ends up anyway. Most of us live nearby or commute on the local train to Andheri station. It’s a long walk from the station, so everyone is usually a bit tired by the time they reach. We just go about our business, making sure the labs are open and the schedules are followed. It’s a steady kind of life here in this corner of Munshi Nagar. That is just how it is.
