Sapphire Micro Systems

Sapphire Micro Systems sits inside the Ansa Industrial Estate on Saki Vihar Road. Being in Andheri East means it’s always busy around the building. Our unit is A-129. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always noise from trucks and people moving crates. We work on micro systems and computer hardware stuff. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and parts scattered around. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a few fans going to keep things moving. We’ve been in this estate for a good bit of time. Most of our day involves testing components or putting systems together for local businesses that need them. We don’t really do big advertising; we just stay busy with the work that comes through the door. Sometimes the parking downstairs is a total nightmare, so we usually tell people to come early or use the metro. It’s a lot of hands-on work with motherboards and power supplies. You get dusty working in an industrial estate like this, but that’s just part of the environment. We aren't trying to change the world; we just make sure the hardware works like it is supposed to. Sometimes we stay late when a project is taking longer than we thought, but mostly we stick to the regular hours. We share the floor with a few other businesses, so you see the same faces every day in the hallway. It is just a regular job for us.
