Sanjay Masala Provision

Sanjay Masala Provision is a small shop located at La/4 in the New Muncipal Colony in Chembur. We are right on RK Road, which stays pretty active with people walking to and from the colony houses. The shop is filled with the smell of different spices and masalas that we keep in bins and packets. It’s not a big supermarket or anything like that, just a local provision store where people come for their daily kitchen needs. We spend most of the day weighing out portions or restocking the shelves when things run low. The floor is concrete and the shelves are simple wood. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a few customers come in at the same time. We know most of the families living in the municipal colony since they stop by almost every day. It can get quite warm in the shop during the afternoons, but we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. We don't do any big advertising or anything. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start serving whoever walks in. It’s a straightforward life running a shop like this. We focus on having the basic stuff people need for their cooking and making sure the jars are full. It’s a honest way to spend the day in Chembur and we like the regular routine.
