Sangam Garage

Sangam Garage is located at Shop No 70 on Aarey Road, right across from the Sayadri Building in Goregaon East. It’s a typical local garage where there is always a car with its hood up and someone underneath it covered in oil. We’ve been on this road for a long time, and we’ve seen all kinds of vehicles come through our doors. It’s a greasy, noisy environment with the sound of wrenches clanking and engines revving up. We don't have a waiting room with air conditioning or anything like that. People usually just stand around and talk while we take a look at their cars. Most of our day is spent diagnosing sounds or fixing brakes and engines. It’s hard work on your back and your hands are never really clean, even after scrubbing them at the end of the day. We have tools scattered around, but we know where everything is when we need it. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because a part is stuck or we have to wait for a delivery, but that’s just how it goes with old cars. We know the people in the neighborhood and they know they can just drop by when something feels wrong with their ride. It’s a straightforward shop where we just fix what’s broken. We don't use any fancy computer machines, just our ears and our hands to figure out the problem and get it sorted.
