Sai Krupa Tyres

At Sai Krupa Tyres, we’re located at Shop No 10 in the Sughand Building. We are right by the Dahisar Railway Quarters and very close to the Dahisar Bridge. It’s a noisy spot because of the trains and the traffic coming off the bridge, but it’s good for business. Most people find us when they have a flat or realize their treads are getting too thin. We spend a lot of time with grease on our hands, changing out wheels and checking air pressure. The shop is full of rubber smells and heavy stacks of tyres. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the day. We have a few machines to help, but a lot of it is just manual labor. Sometimes it gets really busy during the monsoon when everyone realizes their tyres are slipping on the wet roads. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything. People usually just stand around or go get a tea nearby while we work. The Sughand Building is an old landmark, so people find us pretty easily. We just try to get the job done quickly so the drivers can get back on their way. It’s not a complicated life. We show up, fix the tyres, and go home. Being near the railway quarters means we see a lot of the same faces every day.
