Premier Soles Retread

Being located right by the Braboume Stadium at 87 Veer Nariman Point means there is always something going on outside. Premier Soles Retread is where we spend our days dealing with tires. It smells like rubber most of the time, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. People bring us their old tires, and we see what we can do to fix them up and give them a new life. It’s practical work. We have some heavy machinery for the retreading process, and it gets quite loud when everything is running at once. We don't have a reception desk or anything. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy. Nariman Point is usually full of people in suits, but we’re the ones in grease-stained clothes just trying to keep up with the work. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a big batch of soles coming in. We don't really do advertisements. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or they heard about us from a neighbor. Sometimes we watch the crowds heading to the stadium if there's a match on, but mostly we’re just focused on the rubber and the heat of the vulcanizing press. It’s a simple business, really. We just take old things and make them useful again for people who need them. That's the whole story of this place.
