Bharat Tyre Service

Our shop, Bharat Tyre Service, is tucked away in the Alankar Building at No. 251. We are in Shop No. 4 and we stay pretty busy because we are right near Sion Hospital. There is always traffic moving past and people rushing around the hospital area. Inside our shop, you’ll find tyres of all different sizes leaning against the walls. It smells like rubber in here all the time, which is something you just stop noticing after the first week of working. We spend a lot of our day out on the pavement or just inside the door, dealing with wheels and air pumps. The Alankar Building is an old one, but it works for us and keeps our stuff mostly dry when it rains. Being near the hospital means there are always ambulances and cars going by, so the noise is just part of our background. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a desk with some papers and a few chairs for when we need a break. Most of the time we are on our feet, rolling tyres back and forth or checking the tread on something a customer brought in. It’s physical work and it gets our clothes dirty, but that is how it goes at a tyre place. We’ve been at this Sion location for a long time now. We just open up the shutters every morning and see what the day brings us.
