We’ve been sitting here in A/1 J B Nagar for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us surrounded by open CPU towers and a lot of tangled wires. People come in when their screen goes black or the fan starts making that clicking noise that drives everyone crazy. It’s a small space but it works for what we do. Usually, there's a stack of old keyboards in the corner waiting to be sorted out. We don't really have a fancy front desk or anything. You just walk in and tell us what's wrong with the machine. Sometimes the repair takes an hour, sometimes three days if the parts are hard to find. It gets a bit dusty with all the fans running, but that’s just how it is with electronics. We know most of the people around J B Nagar because they’ve all had a virus or a broken hinge at some point. It’s not a quiet job. There is always the sound of someone typing or a disc spinning up. We have a small stool for people to sit on while they wait, but mostly folks just drop their stuff off and go get a tea nearby. We try to keep things organized but when you have five laptops open at once, it’s a bit of a mess. That’s okay though, we know where everything is. It’s just how we run things here every day. It is a simple life of looking at motherboards and trying to get things working again for our neighbors.
