Our office is over in Tulsiani Chambers, which is right in the Nariman Point area. Being at 214, we’ve got a decent view of the busy streets below. It’s a different world compared to the factories where the actual strips and alloys are made. Here, it’s mostly about the phones and the stacks of ledgers. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on shipments. It gets pretty frantic sometimes when the metal markets are moving fast. You wouldn't think a place dealing with alloys would be in a building like this, but this is where the planning happens. We aren't some massive corporation with hundreds of people in suits. We are just a small team trying to keep track of orders and making sure the paperwork is in order. Sometimes the air conditioning breaks and we just have to deal with it, or the lift takes forever. It’s just normal office life. We have our tea breaks and talk about the news, then get back to the spreadsheets. Dealing with strips and alloys is mostly about numbers and logistics. It isn't always exciting, but it’s important work for the industries that use our materials. We’ve been at Nariman Point for a while now, and though the neighborhood is fancy, our day-to-day is pretty practical and down-to-earth. We just focus on getting the daily tasks finished and making sure the files are up to date for tomorrow.
