You can find us over in Andheri East, tucked right behind Chimai College. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but we actually like it that way. The road outside can get pretty busy with all the students and the local traffic, especially in the mornings. We’ve been trading here for quite a while now. Most of our day is just keeping track of what comes in and what needs to be shipped out. The warehouse space we have is a bit on the small side, so we have to be really smart about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes it feels a bit chaotic when a big delivery arrives all at once. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. The other shopkeepers around here usually stop by for a chat. It’s a friendly neighborhood, even if it’s a bit noisy. A lot of time is spent on the phone or going through our handwritten lists. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning in here, just some old fans that keep the air moving around. It’s hard work, especially when the Mumbai weather gets really hot and sticky. We try to be honest with everyone about what we have in stock. If we don’t have something, we just say so. It’s a very simple and regular trading life for us. We open the shutters early and leave when it's dark.
