Guru Kripa Traders

You’ll find us in Dadar West at shop number 9. Being in Dadar means it’s always crowded, and there’s a constant hum of people and vehicles right outside our door. We’re traders, so our shop is usually full of sacks and crates of whatever we’re dealing with at the time. It’s a traditional setup with a heavy wooden counter and scales that have seen a lot of use over the years. We open up early because that’s when the market really gets moving. Most of our day is spent talking to regular customers and negotiating with wholesalers who bring in the goods. It can get pretty sweaty in here during the summer, but we’ve got a small fan that does its best. There’s no fancy decor, just shelves that go all the way to the ceiling and a lot of ledger books. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the way we do business stays pretty much the same. It’s about being there every day and knowing who wants what. Sometimes we have to move stuff out onto the pavement just to make room to walk inside. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but that’s Dadar for you. We just keep our heads down, handle the trade, and make sure everything is weighed out right.
