We’ve been here in Sher-E-Punjab Society for a good while now. It’s a quiet spot in Andheri East, hidden away from the main Mahakali Caves Road traffic. Our office is in Building 2, just a regular flat on the sixth floor. People often get a bit lost looking for the right wing because the signs aren't great, but once you find the gate, it’s easy. It’s not a fancy glass building like the ones you see in the newer business parks. We have desks squeezed in and there’s always someone making tea in the small pantry near the door. Dealing with software and info solutions from a residential area keeps things grounded. We don't have those big reception areas or security guards checking your bags every five minutes. It’s mostly us staring at screens and taking calls all day. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is quite a workout. The neighborhood has a lot of old trees which is nice when you look out the window after a long afternoon. Most of our staff lives nearby or takes the Metro to get here. We just get on with the work and don't worry about looking corporate. There’s no big talk here. Just people trying to fix things and help out where they can. If the internet goes down, we all just take a break and chat. It feels more like a home than a workplace.
