Our office is in Vikram Villa, which is Building 51 over in Gandhi Nagar, Dombivali East. It is a pretty straightforward place to work. We are tucked away in a residential-style building that has been converted for office use. Being in Dombivali means most of the staff lives nearby, so we do not have the craziest commutes, though the area is always crowded. We spend the whole day in front of computers handling various business processes. It is a lot of data and voice work, depending on what the schedule looks like that week. The office inside is practical—nothing fancy or decorated, just desks, chairs, and cables. We try to keep things organized but sometimes when it is busy, it gets a little messy with notes and papers. We have a routine that we follow every morning when we start our shift. The air conditioning works okay, which is a relief when the Mumbai heat kicks in during the summer months. There are a few shops downstairs where we get our snacks and cold drinks. We are not trying to change the world here; we are just a local BPO branch doing the work that is assigned to us. It is quiet for the most part, except for the constant typing and the low hum of the servers in the corner. That is pretty much our daily life at this location.
