Regency Hotel

If you know the Vakola Junction area in Santacruz East, you know it is always moving. Our spot at 29, K. Nehru Road is right in the thick of that. It is a busy part of Mumbai, and there is always noise from the street coming in. We’ve been operating the Regency Hotel here for a while, mostly dealing with people who need to be near the airport or have work in this part of town. The building is simple, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it does the job. Our mornings usually start early with people trying to beat the traffic. We spend a lot of time answering the phones and checking the linens. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the dust from the road, but we try our best to keep things decent. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when the trains are delayed or the weather gets bad. We don't go in for any of that corporate talk you see elsewhere. This is just a local business run by people who live nearby. We know where the good street food is and which shortcuts to take when the main road is blocked. It’s not a quiet life here, but it’s what we know. People come, they stay a night or two, and they head out to their next destination. We just provide the space for that to happen every day.
