Our place is in the Electronic Zone of MIDC Mahape. We are at EL 51. It’s a fairly large industrial area in Navi Mumbai. We’ve been here for a while now, focusing on technology and electronics. The building is a typical industrial structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s a mix of workbenches and some office space. We handle a lot of technical assemblies and testing throughout the day. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, but we have some big fans to keep the air moving. Our staff is mostly local folks who have been with us for a long time. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls. We just come in, check the schedule, and get to work. It’s a lot of hands-on stuff with wires and circuit boards. Sometimes things get a bit messy when we have a big project going on, but we clean up when we can. The tea break is the highlight of the afternoon for most of us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We’d rather just let the work speak for itself. Being in Mahape is good because it’s a central hub for this kind of industry. We see the same faces at the nearby snack stalls every day. It’s a simple, hardworking life here and we’re quite content with that.
