Reet Lal Pandit

My name is Reet Lal Pandit and I stay and work in Malad West. You can find me at Ram Bagh Vasahat, specifically in room A 205 of the Guru Krupa Co Operative. This part of Mumbai is always packed with people and traffic. My space is small, but it's where I get all my daily tasks done. It's a cooperative housing society, so there are families living all around me. I handle my business from the A 205 unit. It’s a very local feel here, with kids playing in the hallways sometimes. I’ve been in Malad for a long time. The building is called Guru Krupa, and it's a solid, older place that has seen a lot. I don't have any big staff or fancy equipment like computers and printers everywhere. It's just me doing my daily work and keeping my own records. Some days are much busier than others, depending on what needs doing. When the monsoon hits, the lanes in Ram Bagh get a bit flooded, but we are all used to that by now. I do various odd jobs and help out the people living in the area. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or shiny floors. It’s a real home-based setup where I can work at my own pace. People come by to talk about work or just to have a chat. I keep my files in an old cabinet and my phone is usually ringing with something new. It’s a modest way to live, but I really like the sense of community we have here.
