Rbs Gifts

Running a gift shop in a place as big and busy as Mumbai keeps us on our toes most of the time. Rbs Gifts is our little corner here in the city, and we spend a lot of our hours just sorting through boxes and trying to figure out where to put everything. It’s not like those big malls you see everywhere; it’s more about just having stuff people actually want to buy when they’re in a hurry to get to a birthday party or a wedding. We’ve got all sorts of things on the shelves, from small trinkets to bigger items that take up too much room. Half the time, the floor is covered in bubble wrap because we’re constantly unpacking new deliveries from the suppliers. Mumbai is always moving, so we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some people know exactly what they want, and others just stand there looking around for twenty minutes while we wait. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We don't really do anything fancy with the displays, we just put things where they fit and hope people can find them. It’s a simple way to make a living, even if the city can be a bit much sometimes with the noise and the crowds right outside the door. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to come in.
