R.B. Jewellery

You can find us on the first floor of Poptey House, number 6, right in the middle of Sheikh Memon Street. Being in Zaveri Bazar means it’s always loud outside and there’s always someone rushing past with a bag or a heavy cart. It’s a 192 address, and if you haven’t been here before, the stairs can be a bit steep and dark. We’ve been working out of this small room for quite a while now. R.B. Jewellery isn't a massive showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets; it's more of a workspace where we actually get things done. The main desk is usually covered in tools and small bits of metal. We grab a chai and some snacks while we work, and the window lets in a bit of the street noise. Some days are busier than others, especially when the market is moving fast and everyone is in a hurry. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing here. We just talk to our customers, show them what we have, and try to be fair with everything. It’s a lot of fine work that requires a bit of patience and steady hands. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and it’s where we belong. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we all just try to get through the day. It’s not always easy, but it’s the work we know how to do. We just keep the door open for the next person.
