I am located over in Matunga East at Nagdevi 251. It is an old part of the city, and the building definitely reflects that age. The stairs are quite narrow, and you really have to be careful when you are carrying anything heavy up to the room. My space is on one of the upper floors. It is not very big at all, but it is enough for the work I do. I have got a window that gives a bit of a breeze during the day, which is nice because Matunga can get quite stuffy in the afternoons. There are always people moving around here on Nagdevi. It is a busy street with lots of small businesses and shops packed together. I have known the guys in the neighboring offices for a long time now. We usually just nod to each other when I arrive in the morning. My office is pretty plain and simple. I have a desk, a few chairs for visitors, and a metal cupboard that is starting to groan under the weight of all the old files. I do not believe in making things look more complicated than they actually are. I just show up, do my work, and go home to my family. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just sit and wait or use a small torch. It is just how it is in these older buildings. I like being here because it is very central.
