Ramiz Mirkar

This is the workspace of Ramiz Mirkar. We are located on the fifth floor of the Suryodaya Building which is right on Send Hurts Road in Dongri. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets. Being on the fifth floor is alright because you get a bit away from the street noise but then you have the kids from St Joseph High School across the street. When they have their break time or school lets out, it's pretty loud. Room number 509 is where I spend most of my time. The building is one of those older Mumbai structures where the elevator works when it wants to. Sometimes I just take the stairs if I’m in a hurry but five floors is a lot in this humidity. Inside, it’s just a normal office with a couple of desks and some old chairs. I’ve lived and worked around Dongri for a long time so I’m used to the rush. The Mumbai 400009 pin code is my whole world most weeks. We don't have any big corporate branding or glass walls here. It's just a place where work happens. Sometimes the monsoon leaks a little near the window but we just put a bucket there and keep going. It’s simple and it works for us. I usually get here early before the traffic really peaks on Send Hurts Road and I stay until the sun goes down over the city buildings nearby.
