Rama Studio Films

Kandivali West is where you’ll find Rama Studio Films. We are located at Lagad Male, Plot No 917, specifically in Room No D 6. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot into it. There’s always someone coming or going, usually carrying some piece of equipment or a roll of cable. The room gets pretty warm during the day, so we keep the fans going constantly. It’s not a glamorous movie set like you see on television. It’s more of a workshop where we put things together piece by piece. I’ve been in this industry for years, starting out as an assistant before finally getting my own space here. Guru is the name people know around this part of the building. We don’t use fancy software for everything; sometimes a pen and paper are still the best tools we have. The walls are covered with old posters and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves over the months. It’s a bit chaotic, sure, but that’s how we like to work. When you’re in the middle of a project, the clock doesn't really matter. We stay until the job is finished. It’s a tough business sometimes, but being here in Kandivali makes it feel like we’re right in the middle of where things are happening. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the cameras rolling.
