You can find us at Ashirwad Building, number 4, over in the Kharodi area. It is a simple place where we keep a collection of different gift items and some household novelties. The shop doesn't have a big neon sign or anything, just the name on the board. Inside, we have rows of shelves filled with mugs, wallets, and small statues. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure nothing is broken. Kharodi is a quiet neighborhood for the most part, so we have a steady flow of local residents. Usually, it’s just one of us behind the counter. We don't have a computer system for billing; we still write everything down in a notebook. It feels more natural that way. The shop gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front window directly. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they are waiting for a gift to be wrapped. We use plain colored paper mostly, nothing too flashy. Sometimes we get new stock from the wholesale market and the whole shop smells like plastic and cardboard for a few days. We don't try to be anything special, just a place where you can pick up a quick gift on your way to a party. It’s a honest way to make a living, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces from the building.
