Rachna Sansad

Rachna Sansad is at 278 Shankar Ghanekar Marg in the Prabhadevi area of Mumbai. This place has been around for a long time and it is quite well known in this part of the city. We are mostly involved with art and design education. The building itself feels like it has a lot of history. There are always students around, often carrying big portfolios or models they have made for their classes. It isn't a quiet or tidy place. You can usually find scraps of paper, bits of wood, or paint marks on the floors. It has a very practical, hands-on feel to it. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office because we are more focused on the work being done in the studios. The traffic on Shankar Ghanekar Marg can be a bit much, especially during the rush hours, but we are used to the noise. We deal with a lot of paperwork and administrative tasks to keep everything running for the people who come here to learn. It’s a busy environment and there is always something going on. We don’t have a corporate vibe at all. It is more about the process of making things and teaching. People from all over Mumbai come here. We just try to keep the doors open and the lights on so the work can continue every day.
