Working out of Andheri East can be a bit of a rush, especially here at the New Empire Industrial Estate. Race Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is based in unit B-2. If you know the Kondivita Road area, you know it gets pretty packed during the day. We have been here in J.B. Nagar for quite a bit of time now. Our office isn't anything like those glass towers you see in the movies. It is an industrial estate, so there is always noise from the street or people moving boxes around in the units nearby. Inside, we have our setup where we handle all the tech work. Most of us take the metro or the bus to get here. It is a practical location for a business like ours. We spend our days looking at screens and talking through various technical problems. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, but we try to get home on time. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief in the Mumbai heat. We don't really do big meetings with fancy catering or anything like that. Usually, it is just us having tea from the stall downstairs while we discuss what needs to be fixed. It is a busy environment but we have gotten used to the pace of Kondivita Road. We just keep our heads down and do the work that is assigned to us. It is not a complicated operation, just a group of people who know their way around computers. (258 words)
