R P Electronic

R P Electronic is situated at Shop No. 1 on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra West. We are right opposite the Bandra Railway Quarters, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. The shop itself is quite small and packed with all sorts of electronic bits and pieces. We have been here for a good number of years. People bring us all kinds of things to fix, from old radios to modern kitchen gadgets. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside with all the shelves full of spare parts and half-finished projects. We usually have a fan going because it gets warm with all the soldering irons running. Bandra is a fast-paced place, but inside the shop, things move at a different speed. We take our time to figure out what’s wrong with a circuit. Sometimes it’s just a loose wire, and other times it’s something more complicated that takes a few days. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s a workshop through and through. The noise from the trains becomes background music after a while. We know the other shopkeepers on the road, and we often share a tea in the evening. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just see the sign when they are walking to the station. It’s a simple business and we like it that way.
