R M Computers

R M Computers is situated at number 4 on Old Mody Street in Goregaon East, right across from the Jaipan showroom. Our shop is not the biggest, and it is usually quite cluttered with all sorts of electronics. You will see towers of old computer cases, monitors stacked in the corner, and a mess of power cables and keyboards all over the place. It is a bit of a workshop and a store combined into one. We spend most of our time hunched over a workbench, replacing broken laptop screens or trying to figure out why a motherboard has stopped working. It is a lot of fine work with small screws and delicate parts. The shop has a specific smell of hot plastic and solder that you notice as soon as you walk in. We don't have a fancy counter or a place for people to sit, so customers usually just stand by the door while we look at their machines. The street outside is always busy, and we get a lot of noise from the traffic and the shops nearby. We use a couple of old fluorescent lights that hum a bit, and we have a small radio playing in the background to keep us company. We are just a few guys who know how to fix things, and we don't bother with corporate talk or expensive uniforms. We stay open until late in the evening to help folks who need their computers back for work the next day.
