Our workshop is at Plot No 10 in the Ramani Builders Compound, which is along S V Road in Dahisar. We are situated right opposite the Mechanical Packing Industries, so you can’t really miss the turn-off once you are in that area of Mumbai. The compound is a bit of a mix of different small businesses, and it can get pretty crowded with vehicles during the middle of the day. Our space is where all the designing and actual work happens. It’s a messy place, to be honest, with scraps of materials and half-finished pieces scattered around the workbenches. We like it that way because it shows we are actually doing something. We don't have a showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a functional shed where the focus is on the tools and the materials. The noise from S V Road is constant, but you get used to it after a few days of working here. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. Most people who come to see us are looking for something specific, and we just sit down on whatever is available to talk through the ideas. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone with a polished look. We are just a small team in Dahisar making things as best as we can with what we have. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We enjoy the process.
