Gala No 42 is where we are, inside the Universal Industrial area in Goregaon East. It’s a big complex with a lot of different businesses going on at once. We are near the Upkar Hotel, which is where most of us go to get lunch or a quick snack. S.V. Road is right there, so the sound of traffic is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Being in an industrial gala means it’s not the cleanest or the quietest place to work. There’s always someone moving a pallet or a truck backing up nearby. Our space is filled with equipment and supplies, leaving just enough room for us to move around. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up, actually working. The lighting is just basic fluorescent tubes, and the floor is concrete. It’s a place meant for working, not for looking pretty. We’ve been in Goregaon for a long time and we like the grit of this area. It feels like things are actually getting made and done here. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s just how an industrial gala is. We show up, we work hard, and we keep the machines running.
