You can find us at 323, Abu Bakar Chawl in the Bagicha area of Dharavi. We are right near the Johnson & Johnson company and just behind the Kamgar Medical Store. If you know Dharavi, you know it’s a place that never really sleeps. There is always someone moving something or a conversation happening nearby. Our space is small and we have to be very organized to make it work. It’s a bit of a maze to get here, but once you’re inside, it’s just us working away. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the doors open and the fans on high. It’s a very humble setup with wooden stools and old metal cupboards. We deal with all sorts of enterprise tasks, mostly moving goods and keeping records. There’s no room for fancy decorations here. Every inch of the place is used for something practical. We know everyone in the chawl and we usually get our lunch from the local stalls around the corner. It’s a tight-knit community. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just open up in the morning, handle the orders, and stay until the work is finished. It’s busy, it’s loud sometimes, and it’s very real. That is just how life is for us at Qais Enterprises in Dharavi. We don't mind the hustle because it keeps us on our toes.
