Finding a parking spot for a bike is a daily struggle, but we manage. We are right in the middle of everything Mumbai has to offer, including the humidity and the constant honking from the main road. The building isn’t new, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out during the monsoon months. Most of us take the local train and then walk or take an auto from the station. It’s a short trip but feels longer when it’s crowded. Inside, it’s pretty simple. We have our computers, some mismatched chairs, and a small pantry where the kettle is always whistling. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or leather sofas because that’s not really who we are. We just focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish, and we can hear the city still moving outside. The neighbors are mostly other small offices or families, so it feels like a real community. It’s just a plain workspace where people work hard and go home. We’ve been at this Mumbai address for a while now, and the walls have a few scuffs, but it works for us just fine.
