We’re over in Andheri, based in the Varsha Sangam Apartment at Flat No 7. Mumbai is always a bit of a rush, and being in Andheri means we are right in the middle of all that energy and noise. This is where we do our development work for the global center. It’s not a huge glass building like some of the other tech places in the city; it’s a more modest, practical setup. Most of the people here spend their time in front of screens, writing code or fixing bugs that popped up overnight. It gets pretty quiet in the office when everyone is focused, though we do have our share of loud debates over how to fix a particular technical problem. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and sometimes share snacks. The commute for some of us can be pretty long because of the Mumbai traffic, so we are always relieved once we actually get into the office and start our work for the day. We don’t really do any big marketing stuff or fancy presentations. We just focus on the software and making sure the rest of the team has what they need from us. It’s a lot of technical stuff that would probably sound boring to outsiders. We just like the work and the fact that we have a good group of people here. It’s a practical space for practical work, and that’s how we like it.
