We are located over in Baigan Wadi, specifically Plot Number 28 on the S-Line. We’ve got Rooms 7 and 8, which gives us just enough space to breathe. Govandi is a tough area sometimes, very crowded and always moving fast. You have to be used to the noise to work here. Our rooms are pretty basic, nothing like those offices you see in the movies. We’ve got our benches and tools set up where they fit best. Some days the heat in the S-Line area is really something else, and we just have to power through it. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops and families, so there is always something going on outside the door. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or making things look pretty for visitors. We are more focused on getting the orders finished and out the door. It’s a hands-on kind of place. Sometimes the water is an issue or the narrow lanes make deliveries a bit of a headache, but we’ve figured out how to manage. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. We’ve been in these two rooms for a good while now, and they’ve seen a lot of hard work. There is no corporate vibe here, just the sound of work and the smell of the city. We do our best with what we have in this corner of Mumbai.
