Pushkar

We have been here in Dadar West for a while now. If you know this area, you know how crowded the streets get, especially near the station. Our place, Pushkar, is on the 2nd floor of the Dadarkar Building, number 372. It’s right near Panneri, which most people use as a landmark when they are trying to find us. Honestly, the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, and the building shows its age, but it’s where we work every day. The 4 C Block part gets people confused sometimes, but once you find the 10th Main, it’s not too bad. We spend most of our mornings just moving things around and getting the space ready. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic and the shoppers, but inside it’s just us doing what needs to be done. Sometimes the electricity flickers when it rains hard, which is just part of being in an old building in this part of Mumbai. We don't have fancy decorations or a big lobby. It’s just a workspace with a lot of stuff piled up. Most of the day is spent handling phone calls or looking through papers. We usually grab tea from the stall downstairs around 4 pm. It’s a simple setup, nothing special to look at, but it works for what we do. We’ve thought about moving, but Dadar is central for everyone, so we stay put in our corner of the Dadarkar Building.
