Our office situation is a bit spread out. We are based in the Sudarshan Complex over in Malad West, but we also have this spot on Bvk Iyengar Road in Bangalore at the Patel Shopping Centre. It’s a bit of a mix, really. We deal with trading and investments, which mostly means sitting in front of computers for a good part of the day. The office in Malad is usually quite busy with people coming in and out, while the Bangalore branch has its own pace. We have files stacked up in the corners and the phones seem to ring at the most random times. It’s a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s filing or talking to clients about their accounts. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby with plants. It’s just a working space where we try to keep our heads down and get the numbers right. Sometimes the traffic on Am Lane is so bad it takes forever to get in, but that’s just city life. We take our tea in paper cups and talk about the markets. It’s a lot of screen time and checking prices. We’ve been doing this for some time, navigating the different rules and paperwork that comes with financial work. It’s not a glamorous job, just a steady one in a noisy building with a lot of monitors flickering all day long.
