Punjabsind

Punjabsind is located in Malad West, right opposite the Jain Derasar. We are in shop number seven of the Bhoomi Classic building. Being near the temple means the area is always full of people, especially in the mornings. You can hear the bells and the general chatter from the street throughout the day. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. People expect certain things from us when they visit, and we do our best to keep the shelves stocked with what they need. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a delivery and have to move boxes around while customers are trying to shop. The building itself is relatively modern compared to some others in Malad, but our shop is pretty basic inside. We have some refrigeration units that hum all day long. Sometimes they make a bit of a racket, but you stop noticing it after an hour or so. The staff is just a few local guys who know the regulars by name. We don't really do much in the way of advertising or decorating. Most of our customers are people living in the apartments nearby who just pop in while they are out for a walk. We keep the floor swept and the counters wiped down, but it’s a working shop, so it’s never going to look like a museum. We just try to get through the busy hours.
