Punjab Auto Garage

We have been here at Punjab Auto Garage for a good while now, right on S T Road in Chembur. If you know where the R K Studio is, we are just across from there near the Kesnand Phata. The shop isn't much to look at, honestly. It is usually full of half-taken-apart engines and oily rags. My hands are almost always black from grease by noon. People bring their cars in when they hear a weird knocking sound or when the brakes start squeaking too much. We don't have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning or a television. Most folks just stand around and watch us work or go grab a tea nearby while we get under the hood. It gets loud with the air tools running and the traffic outside never really stops. We fix what needs fixing and try to tell people straight if a part is toast. Sometimes the shop gets so crowded with vehicles that we have to shuffle them around like a puzzle just to get one out. It is a lot of heavy lifting and turning wrenches every single day. We are used to the heat and the dust that blows in from the road. Dealing with old engines takes patience, and we have plenty of that. It’s just us doing the work, making sure things run right so you can get back home without breaking down on the highway.
