Pujakesarkar

My name is Puja Kesarkar and my workplace is right here in Juhu Ruia Park on J.R. Mhatre Road. It is a busy part of Mumbai, but my spot feels a bit tucked away from the main madness. I’ve been here for a while now and I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We don't have a big sign or a lobby with a receptionist. It is just me and the work. I usually have a lot of folders and notebooks scattered around because I like to keep track of everything on paper. People in the area know me and they know where to find me if they need something. I don't try to sound like a big company because I am not one. I am just a local person doing my job. The weather here in Maharashtra can be tough, especially when it’s humid, but we have a fan and we keep the tea coming. I don't use any of those buzzwords you hear in meetings. I just speak plain English and get to the point. Most of my day is spent answering messages and making sure the files are in order. It is not the most exciting work to talk about, but it is important to me. I like the routine and I like being my own boss in this part of town. It is a simple life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
