You can find Ptl Systems at No. 344-5 on Route 9. Being right on the main route means there is a lot of traffic passing by all the time. It’s a convenient spot because people can pull over easily, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. The office is straightforward. We have a long counter where we take in equipment and a back area where most of the actual work happens. It’s usually filled with cables, monitors, and various hardware parts spread out on workbenches. We don’t have a lot of staff, so usually, it’s just one or two of us here. The lighting is bright so we can see what we’re doing with the small components. We aren’t the type of place that has a fancy waiting lounge with a TV. There are a couple of plastic chairs if someone needs to wait, but mostly customers just drop things off and leave. We keep a radio playing in the background to break the silence while we work on the systems. Every now and then, the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of life here. We take pride in just figuring things out and getting the systems back up and running. It’s a quiet, focused kind of job and Route 9 provides a steady stream of people looking for help with their tech. We just keep our heads down and work.
