Our place is at 102 Millenium Plaza, just off the Andheri-Kurla Road in Sakinaka. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know the traffic is always a bit of a nightmare. We’ve been operating out of this office for several years now. It’s a lot of desk work mixed with some prototype stuff we keep in the back corner. We deal with a lot of technical parts and inventory, hence the name. It’s not a very big team, just a few of us who have been together for a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and trying to figure out why a shipment is stuck at the dock. The building itself is okay, but the elevators are slow, so we usually just take the stairs. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the stalls downstairs. We don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine that does anything special. It's just a workspace where we try to get the orders sorted and the inventory levels right. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is wrapping up, but mostly we’re out by six to beat the worst of the train rush. It’s a decent spot to work, right in the middle of everything, even if the noise from the road never really stops. We keep a spare fan by the window for the humid days and a stack of old magazines.
