Our team is based at Directi Plex in Andheri East, right next to the subway on Old Nagardas Road. It’s a well-known spot in Mumbai, and being here at Protone Software Development Private Limited means we’re right in the thick of the action. The area is always crowded, especially with the subway nearby, so getting to work can be a bit of a struggle some mornings. Once we’re inside the office, though, it’s all about the software. We spend a lot of time coding and testing things out. It’s not like those movies where everything is high-tech and glowing; it’s mostly just us in our chairs with a lot of open tabs on our browsers. We’ve got a mix of experienced people and some younger staff who are still learning the ropes. We don't go in for big corporate retreats or fancy slogans. We just try to get the code right. The building is decent, and it’s nice being close to the station when the day ends. We’ve had our share of long days and short weekends, but that’s part of the job. Most of the time, we’re just talking through problems and trying to find the simplest way to fix them. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We’re just a software shop in Andheri trying to do decent work.
