I run my business from H 5 in Everard Nagar, which is right along the Eastern Express Highway in Sion, Mumbai. Being so close to the highway means there is a constant sound of traffic, but you stop noticing it after a few months. I’ve been working as a proprietor for quite some time now, handling everything on my own. I don't have a big staff or any fancy office furniture. It’s just me and my desk, keeping track of different property deals and paperwork. Mumbai is a very busy place for real estate, and it can be hard to keep up with how fast things change. I focus mostly on the Sion area because that is where I live and what I know best. People call me when they are tired of dealing with big agencies and just want to talk to a real person. I don't make any grand claims about what I can do. I just look at the listings, talk to owners, and try to find a match. Sometimes the work involves a lot of traveling across the city, which is never fun with the Mumbai traffic. I spend a lot of my day on the phone or responding to messages. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and I prefer the independence of working for myself. I just try to be honest with people about what they can expect from a property or a lease in this area.
