Programe Officer

We are based at Jolly Bhavan No 1 in Mumbai, right there in New Marine Lines. Our office is on the fourth floor, specifically rooms 405A and 407. It gets quite busy around here with all the traffic and people moving about. Being a Programe Officer means dealing with a lot of different tasks every day. We share the space with the Aga Khan Planning and Building Service. It is not a very big place but we make it work. Most of the time we are just busy with paperwork or organizing things. The building is an old one but it has some character to it. You can see the city life right outside the window. We have been here for a bit now and people know where to find us. It’s not fancy or anything like those big corporate offices you see in the movies. Just a regular workspace with some desks and chairs and a few computers. Sometimes the elevators are slow so we just wait. We don’t really do much advertising because we have our own way of doing things. The heat in Mumbai can be a lot but the office stays okay. We just focus on the work that needs to get done for the day. If you are around the Marine Lines area you probably know the building. It is easy to spot once you get used to the numbering. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the schedule.
