Premal H Gandhi Co

Premal H Gandhi Co is located at Chuna Bhatti on the 7th Main Road. We are in Shop No 1 of the Kalyan Niwas Building. It’s a good spot because being on the ground floor means people can just pop their heads in. The building itself is an older residential one, so you hear the sounds of families and kids playing upstairs sometimes. Chuna Bhatti has its own rhythm, and 7th Main Road gets a lot of local traffic. My shop isn’t very big, so I have to be careful about where I put things or it becomes a mess very quickly. I have a small counter and some shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. I use a ladder to reach the top ones, which is getting harder as I get older. I start my day by sweeping the front step because the road dust gets everywhere. There is a small fan in the corner that rattles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. I don’t have any assistants, just me here most of the time. I know most of the people who walk past every day. We talk about the weather or the price of things. It’s a quiet life, really. I just keep the shop open and handle whatever comes my way. It’s not a corporate life, just a local shop in a busy neighborhood.
