Prem Anand The Entertainer

Prem Anand The Entertainer is located in Dadar West, Mumbai. Our address is R R Park Society on V I P Road, room A 106 in Kalika Darshan Parulekar. Dadar is the heart of the city, so it’s always crowded and energetic. The office is more of a studio space. It’s filled with costumes, equipment, and piles of papers. It looks a bit like a warehouse sometimes. There’s no carpet on the floor, just hard tile that’s easy to clean. We have photos pinned to the walls of different things we’ve worked on over the years. It’s a very personal space. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting area. People usually just call before they come over. The building is part of a regular housing society, so we have to be mindful of the neighbors. We try not to be too loud, but sometimes it’s unavoidable when we're practicing something. There’s always someone coming or going. We work odd hours depending on what’s happening that week. Sometimes the lights are on until midnight. It’s not a corporate lifestyle at all. We drink a lot of tea and there’s usually a packet of biscuits open on the table. It’s a small, dedicated operation. We’ve been in this spot for years and everyone in the building knows us. It’s just how we operate. Most days are busy, but we find time to chat with the neighbors near the elevator. It's a lively place to be.
