Preeti Telang

You can find us in Girgaum, right on Tribhuvan Road. We are on the 3rd floor of Vidyarthi Bhuvan. It’s an old building, the kind with character that you only find in this part of Mumbai. My name is Preeti and I spend most of my time right here. The stairs are a bit steep, but it’s good exercise every morning. We’ve got a small space filled with folders and computers. It’s not very modern, but it feels like home. Being in Girgaum means there’s always something happening outside the window. The sounds of the street and the smell of local food are always there. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and we are right there working. It’s been this way for years. We know the shopkeepers downstairs and the postman knows us by name. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't use fancy software to track every second, we just write things down and make sure they get finished. Some days are slower than others, which is fine because it gives us time to catch up. People often ask why we stay in such an old spot, but we like the history of the building. It’s simple, it’s honest, and it’s where we belong. We keep our schedules flexible and just focus on the tasks we have on our desks today.
