Our office, Pratik Diamonds Pvt. Ltd., is located at 1401, Panchratna, right in the Opera House area. Being on the 14th floor means we spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators. Panchratna is a massive building, and it’s always full of people rushing around with small parcels. Our space is just a regular office room. We have a couple of big tables where we spread out our work. Pratik Diamonds Pvt. Ltd. is mostly about looking at small things for hours. The lighting has to be just right, so we have these bright tubes everywhere. From our window, we can see the tops of other buildings and a little bit of the traffic down by Opera House. It’s a lot of noise from the street that filters up, but we’re used to it by now. We have a small corner where we keep a kettle for making coffee. The carpet is a bit worn out near the door where people walk in and out all day. We don't have a receptionist or anything; if someone knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. It’s a very functional place. We keep our records in big binders on the shelves. It’s not the most modern setup, but it’s been working for us for a long time. 1401 is our little corner in this big city. It is usually quiet except for the hum of the computers and the sound of the kettle.
