Pratahkal Daily

Pratahkal Daily is located in Andheri West. We are on the 5th floor of the Laxm building in office number 543. Since we put out a newspaper every day, the office is usually quite a busy place. There is always someone typing or talking on the phone. We have stacks of old papers in the corners and clippings pinned to the walls. It isn't the cleanest or most organized office, but we know where everything is. The deadlines are the most important thing here. When it gets close to the time to go to print, everyone starts moving a lot faster. We don't have time for a lot of small talk during those hours. The desks are covered in notebooks and pens. We spend a lot of time checking facts and making sure the stories are ready. Sometimes people come up to the 5th floor to give us news tips or just to complain about something. We listen to everyone. It’s a lot of work to keep a daily paper going, and it doesn't leave much time for decorating the office or making it look pretty. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the busy streets of Andheri. We use a lot of coffee to stay awake during the late shifts. It’s a tough job but we’ve been doing it for a long time now. We just focus on getting the news out every morning.
