Prabhat Book House & Gift Centre

Our shop is at 242 Santosh, right near the Shivaji Park bus stop on 17th Cross in Dadar West. Being in the 4th Sector means we get a lot of people passing by while they wait for their bus. We carry a mix of things, mostly school books, notebooks, and pens, but we also have a gift section. It’s a busy corner of Dadar, so there is always a lot of dust and noise. We start early in the morning to catch the students heading to school. The shelves are packed with textbooks for different grades. In the back, we have things like perfume bottles, photo albums, and decorative lamps for gifts. The floor is a bit old and worn out from all the feet walking over it. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum all day. Sometimes we run out of a particular notebook and have to tell people to come back the next day. We try to keep things simple and helpful. We know which schools use which books, so we can usually point parents in the right direction. It’s a small family-run operation. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been at this spot for years. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, but we’re used to the routine by now.
