Pooja Pednekar

My name is Pooja Pednekar and I’ve been working out of this spot at 11 Kalbadevi K R Garden for some time now. Being here on the 5th Main Road in the 8th Block of Shubh Sadan keeps me pretty busy most days. The neighborhood is always active and there’s a lot of foot traffic passing by the window. I started this because I wanted something of my own nearby. Most of the people who come in are locals from around the Kalbadevi area. It’s not a huge place but it fits what I do. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy but that’s just how it is here. I spend a lot of my morning just getting things organized before anyone shows up. My desk is usually covered in papers and notes. People know they can find me here during the week. It feels good to be part of the community in this part of town. I don’t really have a big staff or anything, just me usually. I try to keep things simple and just get the work done as it comes in. The building itself has been here a while and everyone knows everyone. If you’re walking down the 5th Main Road you’ll probably see the sign. I’ve lived in this city all my life so I’m used to the noise and the pace of the 8th Block. It is just home.
